The vaccine fights against the infection by boosting our immunity. Even if we get infected, the boosted immunity helps us get back to normal. Today,\u00a0 the mass Covid vaccination campaign is going on worldwide to achieve herd immunity (protective antibodies against infection). So, people are now concerned about the vaccination. Many questions arise in them before taking the Covid vaccine. The information in this article will help you prepare for the Covid-19 vaccination.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who Can Get the Covid Vaccine<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Covid vaccines are recommended as safe for most people who are 18 years and older. Patients who are suffering from hypertension (blood pressure), diabetes, kidney disease, asthma, pulmonary disease, liver disease, and chronic infections can get the Covid vaccine if their diseases are in stable condition or in control. <\/span><b>Pregnant women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are at a high risk of Covid-19, so they should be vaccinated on a priority basis unless they experience any conditions for which people are not recommended to get vaccinated (the conditions are noted in the below section, &#8220;Precautions before Taking Covid Vaccine&#8221;).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who are in High-Risk Group of Covid-19<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The people with the following conditions are at a high risk of Covid-19 infection, severe illness, and death caused by the virus, so they should also be vaccinated on a priority basis:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Diabetes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chronic kidney disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pregnancy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long term lung diseases, i.e. asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, and cystic fibrosis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long term liver diseases, for example, liver cirrhosis and hepatitis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Long term heart disease, i.e. hypertension, congenital heart disease, heart failure, peripheral arterial disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learning disabilities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Severe obesity with a BMI rate of 40 or above<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diseases affecting the brain and nerves, i.e. stroke, Parkinson\u2019s disease, dementia, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Severe mental diseases, for example, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Treatments for HIV, lupus, psoriasis, or rheumatoid arthritis.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Precautions before Taking Covid Vaccine\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t go for the vaccination if you have a severe allergic reaction to any ingredients of the Covid-19 vaccine or any other vaccine. In such cases, consult a doctor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t take the vaccine if you have symptoms of Covid-19 (however, you can get vaccinated after you recover from Covid-19)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t get vaccinated if you have any emergency medical conditions (situations to hospitalize).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go for the vaccination after taking a full night rest with sound sleep.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Get vaccinated after eating and drinking well, so that you feel better all day long after taking the vaccine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take the vaccine while you are in steady (normal) blood pressure and blood sugar level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inform the health care professional if you have any medical conditions, i.e. pregnancy, a compromised immune system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure other Covid-19 precautionary measures, such as wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance, sanitizing hands, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Precautions after Taking COVID Vaccine<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stay at the vaccination center for 15 minutes after you have your first vaccine shot. The health care provider should observe you at the time if you have any immediate reactions. Make sure you don\u2019t have any immediate reactions before leaving the center.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take mental preparation for some Covid-19 vaccine side-effects. You may experience some side effects that heal within a few days on your own.
